Berkeley Fall 2010 Rubik's Cube Tournament

Location: UC Berkeley

Venue: 145 Dwinelle. Please note that the venue has changed from 2040 VLSB. Side events may be held in 156 Dwinelle.

Schedule. Please note that certain events are scheduled to run simultaneously. Please be aware that you may not be able to compete in both events, and plan accordingly. For a full list of scheduled event times, check the schedule.

Round Formats and Cutoffs: Single solve time limits in bold. Attempts that reach the time limit will be terminated and recorded as DNF.

- Square 1 R1 (Average of 5, 3:00)
- Fewest Moves (1 Attempt, 1 hour)
- 4x4 Combined Final (Average of 5, 3:00; must have a single solve of under 1:30 in the first two attempts)
- Megaminx Combined Final (Average of 5, 3:30; must have a single solve of under 2:15 in the first two attempts)
- BLD Final (Best of 3, 10:00; must have a combined time of under 10:00 during the first two attempts)
- 3x3 Speedsolve R1 (Average of 5, 10:00)
- 3x3 One Handed R1 (Average of 5, 3:00)
- 3x3 Speedsolve R2 (Average of 5)
- Square 1 Final (Average of 5)
- Pyraminx Final (Average of 5, 1:00)
- 3x3 One Handed Final (Average of 5)
- 3x3 Speedsolve Final (Average of 5)

Registration fee: $3n, where n is the number of events if preregistered. If you are not preregistered, it will be $10 to register and only for the 3x3 speedsolve. Registration will close on October 16.

Competitors, please make sure you are familiar with the WCA regulations. Competitors representing a country other than the United States, please be aware that you must show a valid passport pertaining to the relevant country.

Non-standard BLD? If you are interesting in competing in 4x4, 5x5, or Sq-1 BLD, mention in the comments below. You will be responsible for finding a suitable timeslot and judge for your attempt. We have set aside a recommended time slot, but we reiterate that you are responsible for finding a suitable judge and time for your attempt.

Our competition venue for this competition is smaller than we would prefer. As such, stringent cutoffs are being enforced so that the competition doesn't run overtime. Thank you for your understanding.
